Volunteer

Help us help even more families in need

Volunteers are the heart of Ronald McDonald House Charities® of Central and Northern Arizona. By helping us provide comfort and support to families at our Houses through sharing of their time and talents, our volunteers bring life into our walls. We have a variety of opportunities and schedules available. We invite you to join our volunteer family!

Dinnertime Heroes & Brunch Buddies

One of the best ways to support the families staying at the House is by becoming a Dinnertime Hero or Brunch Buddy and prepare a meal at one of our three Valley Houses. At the end of a long day of medical appointments, having a home-cooked meal alleviates stress from our guest families while wrapping them in love and care.

Individual House Volunteers

Volunteers play an important role in the day-to-day operations of Ronald McDonald House. They provide administrative support, help keep our House clean and tidy, offer family support and greet families with welcoming smiles and listening ears.  Individual volunteers must be at least 16 years old to become a House volunteer.  A few of the duties our volunteers help with include answering phone, greeting families at check-in, gardening, sorting, organizing and other clerical tasks.

Event Volunteers

Help support the House by volunteering at one of our signature special events! The FORE the House Golf Tournament is scheduled for April 28th, 2025, and the RMHC 50th Anniversary Gala is scheduled for October 5th. Volunteers are needed to help with setup, registration and other event related tasks.

“Last Minute” Meal Prep Volunteers

Join our meal assistance backup team, ensuring no family goes without a warm meal during challenging times. By signing up, you become a crucial part of our support network, ready to step in at a moment’s notice to provide comfort and nourishment when a scheduled dinner group cancels.

Volunteer Photographers

Help us capture meaningful moments at our events throughout the year. You don’t need to be a professional, but only enjoy snapping photos and interacting with our guest families and supporters.

Sweet Treat Bakers

Nothing says home like the smell of cookies baking in the oven, and a plate full of sweet treats to enjoy. Bring your baking skills and create a favorite family recipe in our fully-equipped kitchen.

Off-site Kit Creators

Enjoy a fulfilling offsite volunteering experience by crafting essential kits for our guest families.  Get creative as you assemble hygiene kits, birthday kits, snack kits, welcome bags, busy bags, or newborn kits.  If you are looking for a great team building opportunity with your coworkers, family, or friends, this is it!
