Help us help even more families in need
Volunteers are the heart of Ronald McDonald House Charities® of Central and Northern Arizona. By helping us provide comfort and support to families at our Houses through sharing of their time and talents, our volunteers bring life into our walls. We have a variety of opportunities and schedules available. We invite you to join our volunteer family!
Nothing says comfort like a home-cooked meal. One of the best ways to support the families staying at the House is by becoming a Dinnertime Hero. Preparing a home cooked meal for our guests after an exhausting day at the hospital or clinic is a welcomed gift that helps provide an atmosphere or comfort for families when they’re far from home. Volunteers sign up to prepare meals 365 days a year at all three of our Houses. Click the buttons below to sign-up for an available dinner date or to read the dinner guidelines.
Individual House Volunteers
Ronald McDonald House Volunteers play an important role in the day-to-day operations of the Ronald McDonald House. They provide administrative support, help keep our House clean and tidy, offer family support and greet families with welcoming smiles and listening ears. Some of the duties that our volunteers help with are:
- Preparing rooms for our guests
- Cleaning, sorting, organizing
- Helping keep kitchen and community areas clean and organized
- Answering phones
- Greeting families and visitors
Individual volunteers must be at least 16 years old to become a House volunteer. Prospective volunteers must complete an application and interview. If interested, please email our Volunteer Manager Adam Smith at firstname.lastname@example.org.
We count on our community to help us keep our Houses comfortable and clean. We invite your service group to help us maintain our House by scheduling your group Monday through Saturday in the mornings. A number of projects are available for groups of 8-60 people. Activities might involve sanitizing the toys in the playroom, organizing the kitchen, deep cleaning rooms and ground maintenance. If interested, please email our Volunteer Manager Adam Smith at email@example.com.
RMHC of Central and Northern Arizona hosts two signature fundraising events each year — the McNight to Remember Gala in November and the Pro-Am Golf Tournament in May. Volunteers are needed to help with setup, registration and other event related tasks. We also welcome interested volunteers to join our planning committees!
Please contact our Volunteer Manager Adam Smith at firstname.lastname@example.org to find out more about our signature event volunteer opportunities.
