Representative Aguilar and Senator Hernandez to Extend Dual Proclamations Honoring Ronald McDonald House

PHOENIX, Ariz. (January 09, 2024): Ronald McDonald House Charities® of Central and
Northern Arizona (RMHCCNAZ) will be honored with a dual proclamation during the
floor session of the Arizona State Legislature on January 10, 2024. The proclamation,
jointly endorsed by Representative Cesar Aguilar and Senator Anna Hernandez, will
celebrate RMHCCNAZ’s 38-year service to providing families with a “home-away-from”
for families who travel to the Valley seeking critical medical care for their children.

“We are thrilled to support and recognize Ronald McDonald House for all the work they
do to support the families that are facing critical medical care issues,” said Arizona State
Senator Anna Hernanez, Legislative District 24.

Board members and supporters of RMHCCNAZ are invited to a reception immediately
before the proclamation. The reception will be held in the Historic Senate Chamber in
the Arizona Capitol Museum. RMHCCNAZ CEO Kerry Schulman will be giving brief
comments during the reception preceding the proclamation. Additionally, former
RMHCCNAZ guest family, Mateo Reyes, and his family will also be present to share
their experiences.

“Our mission of serving families is only possible because of the support from the
community,” Schulman said. “We are so thankful to Representative Aguilar and Senator
Hernandez for championing this proclamation and celebrating the important work we
do.”

This event is a testament to RMHCCNAZ’s dedication to serving the community and
providing support to families in need since 1985. The dual proclamations highlight the
organization’s impactful work and commitment to making a difference in the lives of
Arizona families.
