02 Nov Kerry’s Corner: November 2020
Thanksgiving is my favorite holiday. The anticipation of this special time of year hits me as soon as the last trick-or-treater has rung my doorbell and I turn my calendar to November. I immediately anticipate the joy of a home packed with my family and friends that are so dear to my heart.
As we all know, Thanksgiving will be another one of those things that will look different this year. However, I still believe there is so much to be thankful for.
One of the many blessings I am focusing on right now is my Ronald McDonald House® family. And let me tell you, it is a BIG family. It includes the thousands of families who have called the House their “home” in their time of need and those who still do. It also includes our incredible staff and dedicated board members who all work tirelessly to serve our mission. And our family certainly would not be complete without our amazing community supporters, volunteers, and donors like you. Each of you bring a special kind of magic to the House and we are so grateful for you.
As we enter the season of gratitude, we want to continue celebrating the Ronald McDonald House Charities® community and our 35 years of providing family togetherness in the Valley. As valued member of our family, we invite you to join us on Saturday, November 7th at 7pm for our Hearts & Hands Celebration, an evening of sharing the stories that have filled our House with love and memories for years. It will be a special night and I hope you will join us.
From the bottom of my heart, thank you for being a supporter of Ronald McDonald House. I can say with 100% confidence that your dedication to our mission has made a world of difference to the families who consider the House their “home-away-from-home.”
We wish you and your family a happy and healthy Thanksgiving!
