04 May Help Us Save the Dinnertime Heroes Program
At Ronald McDonald House Charities® of Central and Northern Arizona, we provide a comfortable and safe place for families, at no cost, so they can focus on caring for their sick or injured children.
But to families going through immense challenges, we are so much more than just a place to sleep. We provide families with all the essentials they might need while away from home, including nightly meals prepared every evening as part of our Dinnertime Heroes program.
But this important program is in danger of being paused without YOUR help!
The Dinnertime Heroes program has been a wonderful opportunity for our community to engage and support the families for years. Sadly, during the pandemic, we had to pause our volunteer program. To make up for it, we partnered with local restaurants and continued to provide nightly dinners. The cost of doing so was tremendous, but we felt providing dinner was essential to our mission.
We recently were able to reopen our volunteer program and invite our Dinnertime Heroes back to our Houses. But for a variety of reasons, our amazing volunteers have been slow to return to prepare meals at our three Houses, putting immense strain on the program.
Without our Dinnertime Hero volunteers, this important part of caring for families will have to be temporarily paused due to financial limitations.
Please consider supporting our families by volunteering to prepare and cook nutritious meals for our guest families. We need YOU now more than ever.

With my sincerest gratitude,
