Volunteers are the heart of Ronald McDonald House Charities of Central and Northern Arizona by helping us provide comfort and support to families at our Houses. We have a variety of opportunities and schedules available. We invite you to join our volunteer family. You will be richly rewarded!
Volunteers must be at least 16 years old. Some of the duties that our volunteers help with are:
- Preparing rooms for our guests
- Cleaning, sorting, organizing
- Helping keep kitchen and community areas clean and organized
- Answering phones
- Greeting families and visitors
Anyone interested is invited to take a tour of our “home-away-from-home” so you can see firsthand how you might be involved as a volunteer. Prospective volunteers must complete an application and interview with our Volunteer Manager Helain Day. If interested, please email Helain at firstname.lastname@example.org.
A number of projects are available for groups of 8-60 people.
Dinnertime Heroes Program:
Nothing says comfort like a home cooked meal. Among the most popular of group opportunities is our dinner program. A home cooked meal is a welcomed gift for our families when they return to our Houses after an exhausting day at the hospital or clinic. Volunteers sign up to prepare meals 365 days a year at all three of our Houses. Visit our meal calendar for more information or to sign up for an upcoming date.
Community Service Projects:
We count on our community to help us keep our Houses comfortable and clean. We invite your service group to help us maintain our House by scheduling your group Monday through Saturday in the mornings. Activities might involve sanitizing the toys in the playroom, organizing the kitchen, deep cleaning rooms and ground maintenance.
We have important opportunities that support Ronald McDonald House Charities of Central and Northern Arizona that do not require an extensive time commitment.
Please contact Helain Day at email@example.com to find out more about our signature event volunteer opportunities. Ronald McDonald House Charities of Central and Northern Arizona has its annual fundraising gala which is heavily supported by volunteers.
